Jennifer Jean Pechman, 63, of Lone Tree died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family following a long battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. A memorial fund has been established. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com.
Jennifer was born Dec. 13, 1945 in Moline. She was a graduate of Erie, Ill. High School in 1963. On July 19, 1972, she was united in marriage to Mike Pechman. She had been employed with Sheller Globe in Iowa City for many years.
She enjoyed playing BINGO, and she bowled with the IWBC and she was president for four years. In her early years she was a Boy Scout Leader. Recently she was a volunteer with the University of Iowa Hospital making sock monkeys.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Pechman; three children, Kenda Swailes of Lone Tree, Brad Schaver of Tiffin and Greg (Amy) Pechman of Riverside; three step-children, Jennifer Paschel of Lone Tree, Julie (Chris) Johnson of Dubuque and Mark (Jolene) Pechman of S.C. and four sisters, Cheryl (Terry) Carrier of Cicero, Ill., Merilee Dufault of Scottsdale, Ariz., CeCe Wilcoxson of Lone Tree and Dotty (Charles) Stewart of Williamsburg. Nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Lou Schilling.
