Fred and Carol Miller

Fred and Carol Miller, 1907 Hwy 6, Atalissa, Iowa 52720, will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary with an open house on Sunday, Oct. 18, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the West Liberty Community Center in West Liberty. A lunch and dessert will be served. Please no gifts, only your presence.

Fred Miller and Carol Barkhurst Roberts were married Oct. 20, 1979, at the United Methodist Church in West Liberty by the Rev. Dick Watkins.

Their children are Rhonda (Ron) Jensen of West Liberty, Bruce (Sue) Miller of Muscatine, Larry Miller of West Liberty, Melody Berns of Madison, Wisc. and Brian Roberts of Atalissa. Grandchildren are Megan (Jens) Zalzala of Los Angeles, Wade Jensen of New York City, Dustin (Katherine) Brooks of Nichols and Kirsten Jensen of West Liberty. The couple also has two great-grandsons, Ty and Cale Brooks.

Fred established Fred’s Feed & Supply in West Liberty on Feb. 14, 1966. He is still at the store everyday, health permitting.

Carol has worked in downtown West Liberty for more than 40 years, starting in March of 1969. She is presently employed part-time at Keunig & Associates.
