Fair parade continues to get bigger, better by Lindsay Hoeppner · July 20, 2010 Sweltering heat didnt keep Muscatine County residents at home on Sunday.
Rather, this years Muscatine County Fair Parade was one of the largest to ever usher in West Libertys most decorated annual event the Muscatine County Fair.
According to long-time parade organizer Pat Farlinger, this years parade had nearly 183 entries up 14 from last years 169.
We thought last years parade was pretty big, but a lot turned out again this year despite the heat, she said. We were really pleased.
Hundreds of people lined the streets of West Liberty to watch the parade before heading to the annual Picnic in the Park, officially welcoming fair week.
