Comets crush Notre Dame

By Norv and Mary Coblentz · Wednesday, October 17, 2012
A lot of Comets saw a lot of action Oct. 5 as West Liberty shut out West Burlington Notre Dame 49-0 at West Liberty. The night was also Breast Cancer Awareness night for the Comets, and several people were recognized as survivors or remembered as fighters by the team and fans. With the win, the Comets move to 4-3 overall, 4-1 in District 5. The halftime score was 43-0. The continuous clock ran the entire second half and the West Liberty backup players played the second half.

Raudel Fierro kicked off for the Comets to begin the game. The Falcons got exactly nowhere before punting. The punt rolled to the 47.
