Psychic set for library lock-in

By Lindsey Jackson · Wednesday, October 24, 2012
With Halloween right around the corner, West Liberty Public Library’s children’s librarian Rebecca Troup-Hodgdon thought it would be spectacular to host a fun event. Children in grades third through sixth are invited to join Troup-Hodgdon and other brave souls for a “Spooktacular Lock-in,” scheduled to take place on the night of Oct. 26 until the wee morning hours of Oct. 27, at the library.

“A lock-in is when the kids come and spend the night at the library and we literally lock everyone in for the night.” Troup-Hodgdon said. “We stay up doing actives and games, and have guests; just a bunch of activities so they get an opportunity to stay up late at some place special or unique.”
