What are District 88ís biggest problems?

There is a lot of poverty in District 88, much more so than in surrounding districts.†

How do you foresee fixing problems in District 88? What is your solution?

I firmly believe education is the key to lifting people out of poverty. We must strengthen our educational system by predictably and adequately funding our schools, introducing and passing comprehensive education reform and also by ensuring our community colleges are supported.

What does District 88 have going for it?

District 88 is very diverse. Though this offers a number of challenges, it also offers a number of opportunities. West Liberty has done a phenomenal job of capitalizing on our diversity through the dual language program and our cultural events, both of which have brought many new people to our community. I believe our diversity has helped West Liberty thrive and continue to grow.
