Getting to know her|
I have known Sara Sedlacek for seven years now; long before she had considered running for political office. And after spending time working in state government, she decided to run to be our Representative in the Iowa House. She decided to run for political office for the reason many elected officials do, she wants to make a difference in areas that she believes to be important to her and to the people in this state.
Come election season, the past priorities and actions of candidates say a lot more than their current words. When I look at the things Sara has been involved with prior to her decision to run, I know what her priorities are: public service through Rotary, volunteering and fund raising in our school district, and running a main street business with her husband - civic engagement, education, jobs and small businesses.
These are the things that affect all Iowans, every day, regardless of party affiliation or any other manner of identification, and I want a Representative for our district that is focused on these issues for the common good. There are enough current politicians in Des Moines that prefer to focus on issues that divide us as Iowans. Vote for Sara Sedlacek on November 6th and do our part to get our Legislature working again for all Iowans.
