Muscatine County Election Results

With 100 percent of precincts counted, Muscatine County voters picked President Barack Obama over Mitt Romney. Obama received 57 percent of the vote in county.

In West Liberty-area races, voters picked Republican Scott Sauer over Democrat Stu Willits for the Board of Supervisors District 3 position; Kas Kelly (D) defeated Gary Allison (R) for the Board of Supervisors District 4 position; Leslie Soule was reelected as county auditor and Dave White was reelected as sheriff.

Muscatine county voters picked Sara Sedlacek (D) for Iowa State House District 88, but she failed to win enough votes in Louisa and Des Moines counties losing to Tom Sands (R).

Thomas Courtney (D) defeated Brad Bourn (R) in the race for Iowa State Senate District 44.
