City Manager Chris Ward said the bonds will be used to restore the library to its original condition, with no extra improvements. The stage at which the bonds have been approved are for removing drywall, insulation and exterior caps for building inspection. The next phase will be to bid out the construction project. The hearing for that will take place on Dec. 4.

The public library building was shut down last spring when a building inspector deemed it unsafe.
