James Wesley “Jim” Hunter, 52, died Dec. 10, 2012.
He was born October 2, 1960, in Iowa City, the son of Kenneth and Laurale Fulwider Hunter. He attended special education in Tipton and later the CEO (Cedar County Workshop). For the last three-and-a-half years he lived at Reach for Your Potential in Iowa City.
He enjoyed spending time with his parents in the summer in Minnesota, riding on the pontoon boat and golf cart, and fishing. He also loved walks with his dad, magazines, music, coffee and diet Pepsi.
Survivors include his mother Laurale of West Branch; sisters: Melanie (Gary) Christopher and Denise Johnson both of West Branch, and brother: Steve (Robyn) Hunter of West Branch. Eight nieces and nephews: Angie (Josh) Konetzni, Erica Thomas, Lisa (John) Bestenlehner, Kristen (Peter) Gregory, Karen (Jonathan) Daughtrey, Amy (Justin) Hunter, Nick Hunter and Mikayla Hunter. Seven great nieces and nephews also survive. He will be met in Heaven by his father, Kenneth Hunter (September 2012) and great niece Vivian Gregory.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 13 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
