Members of a local church have invited the community to attend an upcoming fundraiser to help jump-start the church’s kitchen renovation project.
Marian Hart, pastor of First Church United, said the plan is to build between two wings of the building by adding a roof. The renovated kitchen will include a larger work area with a dishwasher, reach-in refrigerator and convection oven so they can continue to feed people.
“Before we break ground we want to have $110,000 in hand,” Hart said. “I believe the total to finish it is $180,000.” Hart said they...
