JV football keeps win streak alive

The Comet JV football team has officially won six games in a row, the fifth win came from beating West Burlington/Norte Dame, Oct. 12, with a score of 35-22 in West Burlington.

The Comets opened up the scoring with Gaige Trvs finding the endzone. While WBND answered back, the Comets scored another touchdown by Trvs.

After a couple of defensive stops from both teams, the Falcons scored right before the first half, tying the score 14-14. 

In the second half the Comet offense got into gear, getting rushing touchdowns from Joe Baker and Chris McMichael, Josh Walshire completed a pass to McMichael for another score.

Andres Garcia-Vargas had an interception with Jakob Barten, Noah Barten, Ivan Escobedo, Parker Feldman, Noah Feldman, Noah Bierman, Dylan Clifford and Ryan Garvin playing well defensively.

On Oct. 14, the Comets traveled to Lone Tree and got their sixth win, 28-21. 

The Comets got touchdown runs from Gaige Trvs, Cooper Koenig, and two from Chris McMichael.  Andres Garcia-Vargas was perfect in PATs. 

Joe Baker and Garcia-Vargas had interceptions and Parker Feldman, Jakob Barten, Ivan Escobedo, Noah Barten, Noah Feldman, Trvs, and Dylan Clifford played well on defense.
