Nichols feeds seniors for Thanksgiving|

A gathering of friends and neighbors was held Sunday, Nov. 17, at St. Mary’s Church Hall in Nichols.
The long standing tradition of hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for the senior citizens was upheld by the three churches of Nichols; The Nichols Christian Church, United Methodist Church and St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
It was their way of saying ‘Thanks’ for all seniors who have contributed to making Nichols a great place to live.
This year’s dinner was hosted by the Christian Church with guests of honor Mr. and Mrs. David Gregg serving as greeters, they welcomed everyone at the door with a smile.
Pastor Corrine Welsch led a short service of prayer and song. Linda Barton provided the music and Caroline Brugman sang.
The food was prepared and served by the ladies of all the churches. Carrying trays for anyone needing help were: Chrystal Patterson, Hunter Patterson, Makenna Cook, Ryan Mattus and Rachael Mattus. There were 88 meals served at the Hall and 23 meals delivered.
