Wednesday, February 26, 2014
Keith Simmons, owner operator of Simmons Promotions Inc. (SPI) has recently released the 2014 season schedule which will host 65 events at the 3 popular Eastern Iowa dirt tracks that he operates, including the West Liberty Raceway.

2014 will mark the 14th year that Simmons has been in the race promotion business in Eastern Iowa.

Simmons stated, “Our schedule is packed with many of our fan's favorite events and will include a few new events this year plus a few changes have been made to spice up some of our well established events.”

Simmons owns and operates the Farley Speedway located on the east end of Farley, Iowa, just off of US Highway 20. The Farley Speedway is one of only four dirt tracks in the state of Iowa that are privately owned. The Farley Speedway operates predominantly on Friday nights. In addition SPI holds the contracts to conduct racing events at the West Liberty Raceway located on the Muscatine County Fairgrounds in West Liberty. The majority of the West Liberty Raceway events are conducted on Saturday nights. Sunday night racing is hosted by SPI at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds Speedway located on the East Side of Dubuque, Iowa on Fairgrounds Road.

SPI will host the very popular Deery Brothers Summer Series featuring the IMCA Late Models with 8 feature events being contested at the SPI tracks in 2014. In addition the high powered open Late Models will be in action twice in 2014 with each event paying a whopping $10,000 to the winner.

The Tri-Track Late Model challenge sponsored by Ideal Ready Mix will hit each track twice in 2014.

The Palace Ballroom, located on the grounds of the Farley Speedway in Farley, will host the 2014 pre-season car show and media day on Saturday, March 29.

Many of the SPI competitors will have their new race cars all shined up and ready for display and the drivers will be on hand to greet the fans and media. The car show is an opportunity for the race teams to give their sponsors some great exposure in the comfort of the spacious palace ballroom. The fans in attendance will have an opportunity to meet and greet the drivers and pick up schedules for all three SPI race tracks. The doors to the palace ballroom will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 29.
