John “Jack” Loucka, 78, of North Liberty, died on Friday, March 21, 2014, at the Parkview Manor in Wellman.
John R. Loucka was born on May 27, 1935, in Lake Geneva, Wisc., the son of Charles and Marjorie (McClure) Loucka. He graduated from Cable High School in Cable, Wisc. Jack served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. On June 7, 1980, Jack was united in marriage to Sherry Krouth in Iowa City. He was a plumber for Bill’s Plumbing and Heating and then worked for Mercy Hospital as Plant Operation Supervisor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family.
Jack will be deeply missed by his wife, Sherry of North Liberty; children, Deanna Wanninger of Janesville, Wisc. and Dan Karr and wife Karen of Hills; four grandchildren, Dillon, Jeffrey, Bryant and Anneliese and sister Jill Richards of Elk Horn, Wisc.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jeff Karr.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in the Lone Tree Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Jack.
