Students flooded the halls of West Liberty Middle School this Tuesday, Aug. 26, as the first day of school got underway. School resumed for the West Liberty Community School District Tuesday, except for the pre-kindergarten students, who will head back to school Thursday, Sept. 4, from 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m. Teachers will be contacting parents with approximate bus pick-up times. |

Last Tuesday, Aug. 21, the West Liberty City Council passed an Ordinance Regulating Illicit Discharge in the West Liberty, Iowa Sanitary Sewer System, 4-1. The ordinance brought up questions about the way the city manager Chris Ward communicated the ordinance to its industries, mainly West Liberty Foods.
