I was also anxious to find out what would happen next. It’s a pretty big deal for a small town like West Liberty to lose its mayor. My first instinct was that the appointment of Bob Hartman was a good thing. It would be quick and easy and it would save the city a little money. It didn’t occur to me that this appointment denied the citizens of West Liberty the right to vote.
