82nd Indivisible members join April 5 rallies

Last weekend, more than three million people across 1,400 cities and towns sent a message: Stop the assault on our government.

We haven’t seen this kind of public resistance to our own government in many decades.

Why? Because while staff at Social Security, Veterans Affairs, the USDA and more get slashed, Elon Musk is raking in $8 million per DAY from federal government contracts. While our retirement funds tank, the richest men in the world are buying up cheap stock so when Donald Trump changes his mind, again, about tariffs, they can make billions more.

They’re playing our democracy like a fiddle. We’re here to stop them.

Nearly 20 members of 82nd Indivisible joined our neighbors to the north as 300 people from Mt. Vernon and Lisbon marched and rallied together. Davenport drew thousands and other small towns in the district hosted their own events. Rural America turned out to demand hands off.

If you care about good public education, safe streets for everyone, politicians answering to us, clean water and air and more, then look up Indivisible, the fastest growing grassroots organization in the country.

If you’re tired of corporations deciding what our democracy should look like, then join Indivisible.

We all have other responsibilities – kids, jobs, home, family – but we take the time we can to make our community and our country a better, more decent place to live. Learn how to make Indivisible work for you by writing to 82nd.indivisible@gmail.com.
