Becky Ann Mills, 70, passed away suddenly Saturday, March 25, at her home in West Liberty.
Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. Becky was born October 19, 1952, the daughter of Duane and Marilyn (Bohac) Dotson. Following the death of her mother and sister at age two, her father Duane was married to Maralee (Williams) and was raised and joined by a brother and four sisters.
She was a 1970 graduate of West Liberty High School and attended business college. On May 2, 1980, she was united in marriage to David Mills in Muscatine.
In her early years Becky had worked at the Rock Island Arsenal, University of Iowa Hospital and for 32 years with Johnson County Department of Public Health retiring in 2018.
She was a collector of children’s tin dishes, going to garage sales and auctions to add to her collection.
Her only grandchild Parlee was very special to her.
Becky is survived by her husband: David Mills of West Liberty; one daughter Nichelle Mills, of West Liberty; and granddaughter Parlee; five siblings: Jim (Teri) Dotson of Wilton; Sandra (Dave) Duncan of Austin, Texas; Dana (Kevin) Pfister of West Liberty; Krista (Andy) DeRiemacker of Atalissa; and Ann Dotson (Darryll) Alke of West Liberty.
Her mothers preceded her in death: Marilyn and Maralee; her father Duane, and her sister, Diane.
