Betty N. Crees, 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at the Wilton Retirement Community.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Atalissa Fire Department or Camp Courageous in Betty’s honor.
Betty was born on July 26, 1927, in Davenport, the daughter of Albert and Edna (Steward) Untiedt and grew up on the family farm near Donahue. She attended country school before continuing her education in the Davenport school system. On Dec. 15, 1946, Betty married Everett Crees in Davenport. Together, they owned and operated Crees Construction for many years.
She was a member of the Rochester United Methodist Church. Betty found joy in dancing, music, sewing, and riding motorcycles with Everett.
Betty is survived by her two sons, John (Linda) Crees and Neal Crees, both of Atalissa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Everett, and her son Richard.
