The West Liberty softball picked up a win to end last week against Tipton after falling in a sweep at Durant.
The Comets now sit at 4-4 on the season and dropped out of the most recent Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Class 3A softball rankings.
The week started for the Comets with a double header against Durant.
After being held scoreless in the first game and falling 6-0, the Comets looked to rebound going into game two.
Durant was first on the board in the second game, scoring a pair before the Comets pulled one back in the second.
Unable to find a run until the fifth, the Comets fell 8-4 in the second game.
On Thursday, there was an opportunity to rebound with a matchup at home against Tipton.
The Comets hit the scoring column early, driving in one in the first and three in the third.
The scoring onslaught continued as the Comets lead 9-0 before the Tigers scored their first in the fifth and another in the sixth to avoid the mercy rule.
The Comets went on to score a 10-2 victory after an extra run in the bottom on the sixth.
The Comets will matchup against Wilton Thursday before facing off against Tipton to finish their yearly series.
