Mayor Mark Smith read a proclamation honoring the Eulenspiegel Puppet Theatre Company, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. After starting as a traveling puppet theatre company in 1974, Eulenspiegel has operated from the Owl Glass Puppetry Theatre in West Liberty for the past 29 years. The proclamation also honored the puppet theatre for its annual Children's Festival every fall, which highlights its commitment to community engagement, and director Monica Leo’s leadership, along with her staff who ensure that “audiences leave performances with smiles and cherished memories.”
Puppeteer and Children’s Festival director Stephanie Vallez was present and received a copy of the proclamation.

The council approved Vendor/Voucher Claims List #1 in the amount of $345,900.47. Vendor/Voucher Claims List #2 in the amount of $564 to Cardinal Graphics was tabled until the next meeting. Due to the absence of council members Tim Parizek and Omar Martinez, and a conflict of interest on the part of mayor pro tem Cara McFerren, there was not a quorum available to vote for or against.
