Jane M. Awbrey, 76, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, at her home in West Branch.

Jane Maureen Awbrey was born Aug. 16, 1946, in Muscatine. She was the daughter of Allen and Alberta (Stecher) Awbrey.

She attended country school and was a graduate of Muscatine High School in the class of 1964.

She was united in marriage to Richard Beaver on Jan. 21, 1967, in Muscatine. They later divorced in 1989.

Jane had an array of jobs in clerical services with Rock Island Arsenal, Louis Rich, and University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. She also worked for West Liberty and West Branch Schools as a bus driver and custodian. She worked at Younkers for several years before retiring.

Her favorite job was being a good mother and grandmother. You could find her at a gym, ball field, or a track meet cheering on her grandchildren. Her beautiful smile lit up a room.

She is survived by four children, daughter: Brenda Treseder of Coweta, OK; daughter: Nikki (Brad) Koenig; and grandchildren: Cooper, Tatum, Sasha, and Peter of West Branch; son JR (Jen) Beaver and grandchildren: Austin, Alex, and Addison of West Liberty; daughter, Joy (Kyle) Colbert and grandchildren: Chance, Croy, and Canon of Tower, MN.; Four siblings: Judy (Art) Jansen of Davenport, Dale (Cora) Awbrey of Stockton, Sue (Mike) Lowe of Muscatine and Jerry (DeeDee) Awbrey of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sons, Terry and Todd, and infant grandson, Kyle Jr., brother and sister in law: David and Karen Awbrey and a special great neice Charly Erpelding.
