The Muscatine County Fair will be held from July 17-21, and this year’s theme is “Time Marches On.”
The Bill Riley Talent Search will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. Daily entertainment includes the Loghoggers chainsaw artists, Chris Short Marionettes, Charlie Stron, stilt walker and balloon artist, and the kids’ zone.
Livestock shows
Wednesday – 4-H/FFA dog show 8 a.m., 4-H/FFA dairy goat show 10 am., 4-H/FFA meat goat show 2 p.m., 4-H/FFA production lamb show 5 p.m.;
Thursday – 4-H/FFA swine show 8:30 a.m., 4-H/FFA rabbit show 9 a.m.;
Friday – 4-H/FFA beef show 9 a.m., 4-H/FFA poultry show 2 p.m., 4-H/FFA bucket calf show 3 p.m., 4-H/FFA pet show 4:30 p.m.;
Saturday 4-H/FFA sheep show 8 a.m., 4-H/FFA horse and pony show 8 a.m., ribbon auction 1:30 p.m.
Grandstand Entertainment
Wednesday – Stock car racing 6:30 p.m.;
Thursday Donkey races 7 p.m.;
Friday – East Central Iowa tractor pull 7 p.m.;
Saturday concert by Tracy Lawrence and Drew Baldridge 7 p.m.;
Sunday – Demo derby 11 a.m., trailer races 3 p.m.
The carnival will be open from 1-6 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, and 5-10 p.m. Friday and Sunday. Armbands are $25 per day.
Fun passes $60 for adults and $20 for children, and may be purchased online or at the fair office. Fun passes do not include trackside for the concerts; that is an additional $10. Fun passes include admission to the gate and all grandstand shows.
The Muscatine County Fairgrounds are located at 101 N. Clay St., West Liberty.
