The West Liberty Mansell L. Phillip Post 509 American Legion unit will be hosting the annual Memorial Day service on Monday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery on the south end of West Liberty.

Legion Commander Ken Riley said the event will be held at the Legion should there be inclement weather.

The Avenue of the Flags at the cemetery will be placed on Thursday, May 26, beginning at 1:30 p.m., weather permitting. Volunteers are welcome.

The keynote speaker for the event will again be Tom Wertzbaugher, a Legion member and Vietnam Veteran.
