Ray A. Bozarth, 81, died March 22, at Drs. Regional Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Sunday, May 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Little Bear Campground Pavillion located at 1961 Garfield Ave in West Liberty. Private Family services will be held. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com.

Ray was born December 2, 1941, the son of Virgil and Lois (Wilson) Bozarth. He was a graduate of West Liberty High School in the class of 1960.

He proudly served in the United States Army Reserve from 1960 to 1968.

On June 2, 1962, he was united in marriage to Myrna Kay Schauf. Ray had farmed and was a truck driver for many years working with Louis Rich Foods and Hoovestol.

He enjoyed camping, collecting 50’s memorabilia, attending and showing in car show and watching football; especially the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He is survived by his wife: Myrna, two children: Lisa (Jeff) Anthony of LeClaire; Randy (Robin) Bozarth of Pelham, Alabama; five grandchildren: Justin (Katie) Bozarth, Casey Humbert, Lindsey (Martin) Allbee, Larissa Penderson and Landon Reid and three great grandchildren: Dalton, Kennedy and Rebecca; sister in laws: Mary (Jerry) VanDyke, Sandy (Rodney) Paul as well as step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grand parents Alex and Zella Wilson, his and father and mother in law: Wilbur and Velda Schauf; brothers in law: Larry, Bill, Ed and Dennis Schauf, sisters in law: Shirley Debler and Lori Schauf.
