Aquarius Club, in conjunction with the Voluntary Action Council, is once again organizing the Star Tree project to provide deserving children of the community with Christmas gifts.
Persons who would like to purchase a new gift to make Christmas special for a boy or girl may select a star from a tree at either the West Liberty State Bank or MidWestOne Bank.
Trees will be in the banks’ entrances. The star is then attached to a wrapped or bagged new gift (gift bags really work best so Santa can check packages if he needs) which can be left under the trees at the banks.
Gifts need to be returned by Friday, Dec. 6, so they can be sorted and assigned to children in plenty of time for Christmas. Make the season bright for a child and yourself by participating in one of the many Christmas projects in the community.
