United Way Muscatine County, The Iowa Center, MCC, and Muscatine Municipal Housing Agency are partnering to bring the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program back to Muscatine for the 2025 tax season! The VITA Program provides free tax aid to those who make $67,000 or less.  Last year, our volunteers prepared 21 tax returns during two sessions, saving clients $4,200 in preparation fees and bringing $28,899 in refunds!

This year, we hope to serve even more clients and plan to offer three sessions at MCC for individuals in our community to get their taxes done for free.
