Tom Reier, 82, died unexpectedly Jan. 25, 2024, at his home in Inola, Oklahoma.
Tom was born in Iowa City on June 20, 1941, the son of Walter and Helen (Harney) Reier. He graduated from West Liberty High School in 1959.
Tom married Denise on May 24, 1996. In his earlier years Tom belonged to a saddle club and eventually participated in rodeos in the southern states. Later his son joined him. He was manager of Tulsa Featherlite selling trailers and won two trips to Cabo for top sales. Later he did trucking all over the country. Tom retired full time in the fall of 2022.
Tom was proud of being from Iowa and stayed in touch with friends and classmates as best as he could. Tom had friends all over the country. His infectious laugh and easy-going personality endeared him to many. He loved spending time with his grandsons.
Tom is survived by his wife, Denise; son, Cody; his grandsons Wyatt, Lincoln and Dakston and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jim, his sister Mary and their spouses.
An “Irish Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.
