West Liberty High School’s show choir, Voices Unlimited, performed Saturday afternoon at the Music In Motion competition at Mt. Pleasant High School.
The squad consists of eighth-through-12th-graders who sing or play in the live band. They crew took 4th place in Mixed Division - Tier II.
This year’s theme, “Fighting, Surviving and Thriving” was an “angsty, post-break-up” show that featured songs like “Heartbreaker,” “Dancing with Myself,” “When I was Your Man/Flowers,” and “Survivor/Fighter.”
Soloists included Alyssa Stagg, Cougar Benedict, Victoria Machado, Xochitl Meraz, Mya Elizondo, and Paris Salais.
Director Jack Simpson and assistant Jessica Madsen lead the group. Jordan Webster-Moore produced the choreography.
There were 11 Mixed Groups, one Treble Group and four Middle School Groups at the competition.
